It was very coincidental that you mentioned The Clash in your post,Tommy. I was discussing just the other day back & forth on Amazon with a guy about the new VH--he didn't like it. Somehow he brought up The Clash in a comparison by popularity. That's why I was compelled to post about your note. his argument mentoined that Rolling Stone mag listed London Calling as an all-time top listseller/whatever. I mentioned that I could care less what RT mag says about ANYthing,ever.It's hard to explain..but I just feel that a band like--Journey,e.g.,is a MUCH more gifted one than a band like The Clash. But in the end--guess it still all comes down to songwriting ability AND musical execution,along with any individual's personal musical tastes. We like what we like,whether it's thrash metal or prog rock. Cheers, T
