I wouldn't call it a scheme unless someone can prove to me it is one. I think for artists that don't have the backing or the financial capabilities to do things the traditional way, it's a new avenue to get their fans the product they want. I don't see any of these artists having any type of strong financial backing. Vixen maybe the most main stream of those mentioned, but unless it's the original lineup, nobody would front money for them.
