Well if we're doing Eagles-related factoids it's always worth mentioning that Randy Meisner was replaced BOTH in Poco and in the Eagles by Timothy B Schmit. Both gentlemen are supremely talented, but Timothy B has always had the edge for me (true backing vocal LEGEND for starters). That said Randy contributed some brilliant forgotten gems to the Eagles catalogue (Too Many Hands and Try & Love Again above all).
