I'm glad that I got into hard rock during the very late 70's and early 80's - when it was just about the most exciting thing on the face of the earth and I was exactly the right age to 'get' it.

I/we saw the entire secene shift and change and mutate. Maybe that's why I was able to go with the grunge flow? Who knows. But I am very glad that I got into it before it started eating it's own.

I was listening to 'Strangers In The Night' a few days ago - and it still gives me goosebumps. Very few of the late 80's albums can say the same, something was lost by that time.
