Yes I will agree that Mutt Lange is a genius... at taking the same hook, adding a few subtle nuances, coming up with new lyrics and finding talent that can contribute something unique to a song to make it seem different, then adding the polish to capitalize on it; he already knows what will appeal to a cross section of the masses...that is why he has made a career and (millions) out of PRODUCTION. Hey, someone has to do it! I don't mean to sound derogatory here...I grew up loving Def Lep (and still do love a lot of the songs that did not get radio play ..."Tonight," "Love and Affection" as well as the others "Hysteria" "Let It Go" "Too Late" "Stand Up" "Animal" I could go on and on etc....) and I really do like some of Shania's songs...but remember she had already written several on her own before she hooked up with him...
