A word about Ted.I finally got to meet one of my heroes last year for the first time and I have to say he is the nicest most genuine person you could meet. Over the course of the past year we have spoken on the phone a few times and swopped regular e mail , about music and lots of other things. Some of the criticism directed at Melodica was possibly justified but the way some people slaughtered the cd was unreal.OK so it's not perfect , it has some flaws, but thats not a catalyst to stick the knife in waaaay deep.Constructive criticism never hurt anybody , but destructive criticism is useless.If Ted wants to call the new cd Lovemetal then that's his perogative...I think it's a cool title.Kind of sums up the musical style.How many people (girls and guys) remember getting laid to a D2 song back in the day........be honest!!!!!Ted may slam me for this but , I have heard most of Love metal and I can say hand on heart it is a fine album , far better than LWFL , not because certain things (vocals) are much better but Gerhard and Ted have found a groove and have come up with a bunch of songs that echo the good old days in terms of feel and vibe.When everybody and his brother are bitchin about the lack of a decent aor album , how so many bands have changed styles ,and how we wished it was 1990 all over again because there were some great songs about. Then Ted gives his fans an album that is true to his roots , has a title that is wonderfully tongue in cheek and what do people do........criticise...I don't know , what do some of you people want....blood.For all it's worth the Lovemetal album will be huge.I listened to it again today and it gets better all the time, it is without doubt potentially Ted's best work since Cockroach.C'mon people, give the guy a break , it seems like he just can't win.........Kieran .....a huge Ted fan (always have been and always will!!!)
