Re: STOP!!! CDINZANE / MELODIC ROCK
Date: March 16, 2010 11:13AM
Zane. I am more than happy to drop this matter as I have better and more important things to do with my life.
In fact, I was done talking about the subject once I had my initial say.
But you keep pushing, so I keep responding.
Once again, your letter to "the people" completely avoids taking responsibility for your own actions.
Max did not start this. I did not start this. YOU started it with the childish rant against my festival and my personal "greed" at not allowing you to come along and make money.
Now, I do not expect you to understand or comprehend any of what I'm saying here, as nothing you have previously said indicates you will take responsibility or address the real issue, but at least the intelligent folks that read this board can understand where I am coming from.
Only an apology from you for the initial rant and then the extrordinary comments about my compilation CDs and listing them for sale for zero cost will see this matter go away.
You need to accept that you are the one that fucked up, not me.
Once again I am forced to address some serious inaccuracies within your comment just posted.

FALSE.
There has been no contact between us whatsoever and I decided to pull all advertising from you 1 minute after reading your newsletter comments - which was entirely your decision to write. It was the last straw.

What would you like me to give back?

What does that actually mean?

Well, this is fair enough and your decision to make - if you had made it.

Here is what the customers of CD Inzane have said to me:
"Zane is a strange guy and he did something similar with me. He thinks he is the one and only but he is not! He is unprofessional, unfair, unreliable and a liar!"
"that CD Inzane guy he is a fruitcake I quit working with him also, he has a HUGE ego"
"Over the the years of working with numerous retailers over the years of doing **** released with ******, Zane is the ONLY retailer I refuse to work with anymore"
"He was no joy to work with on ****** and ****** cautioned me to never tick him off, so I knew he was a loose cannon"
"not new for me. I have also some problems with CD Inzane in the past!"
"Just read your post about Zane. F-u-n-n-yyyyy. I am recently coming off my second "issue" with Zane, I won't bore you with all the details because, you've experienced pretty much all the similar stuff I had, lucky you!"
"I have had limited transactions with his company, as issues with transactions severed our business relationship shortly after it started."
"Zane is a strange guy. His advertising is pretty ridiculous, borderling false advertising a lot of the time. If only you had gotten some of his previous email spam."
"I'm not too surprised by Zane's behavior. He's not exactly a professional. His descriptions of the albums on his site are often incorrect(like saying Joacim Cans was on the new Dreamland album), and he often claims exclusive releases that aren't exclusive. He doesn't handle customer complaints with any sort of professionalism or even common courtesy. He acts as if he's doing us all a favor by selling us metal CDs, as if there's nowhere else to get them. I stopped doing business with him about five years ago. Amazon and Itunes at least act with professionalism. Zane gives small retailers a bad name."
"great comments on ZANE. i stopped selling him my product awhile back. we can get into the stories another time, but it was classic."
"I'm see you had a run in with the worlds best mailorder clown ZANE. All of us labels and mailorder companies have had issues with him. I finally cut him off a month ago."
"Hey Andrew. I had a bad experience myself with CD Inzane. I sent them an email saying one of their product descriptions was way off. The description said that there were people singing on this one album (Revolution Renaissance's 2nd album which had the one singer while the first album had 3) when in fact they weren't. He told me to fuck off and shop elsewhere. I actually was trying to be helpful."

Who? I quite honestly do not believe you.

FALSE: It was not a private poll (not sure who's private pole you are talking about!) - it was a PUBLIC poll, therefore I have the right to challenge the false statements within.

Are you making a threat against one of my readers?

FALSE: And dare I say somewhat defamatory. All bands are taken care of and how I run my festival is none of your business whatsoever.
I already did one show which was hailed by the artists attending as a highlight of their careers.
I am looking for SPONSORSHIP for the festival, which is exactly what everyone else worldwide does. Dear me.

Zane - once again - this is 100% your own doing. No one else.

FALSE: There was no offer of funding for the festival - only an offer of donating some prizes to giveaway in exchage for tables at the show to sell your merch.
I declined.

FALSE: Once again, there was no offer made by you for the show.

The first sensible thing you have said so far.
I hope you will respond with the apologies for taking this all public and making it personal.
Perhaps then we can move on.
