Yeah, the Beatles could have had a better career if only they changed that silly name!? I mean it's not like they became the most popular music group of all time or something. I really hope that you were being sarcastic with your choices because you picked some of the biggest names in the biz. Names did not stunt any of the artists you mentioned, nor did they "kill their careers".

Here's some names, I think were so bad that the bands were bound to fail:

Slammin' Gladys
Ugly Kid Joe
Shotgun Messiah
Enuff Z'Nuff
Bangalore Choir

Then of course, there are bands that once held the top spots in rock and metal, but now the mere mention of the name warrants (pun intended) a chuckle:


The list can go on and on...I know for a long time it was relatively embarassing to tell another person that you are a Nelson fan. That's starting to change now, but most of the people I know still look at me funny for saying that!
