I downloaded a song from Napster and the next thing I know, I can't log-in to the Napster server. It says that I am being blocked access by this "artist" for downloading their song. Then I get an E-mail saying that if I want to regain access to Napster (within 2 or 3 weeks), I have to sign this form saying that "I agree to be sued in a court of law" for sharing this song. If I don't sign this form, I can't regain access to Napster
All I did was download this one song. No one downloaded it from me and the same song is available for download on this "artist's official website". But when I tried to download it from that site, I kept getting error messages, So that's why I went to Napster for it. Now I'm "blocked" from Napster for having possession of the same song that this "artist" is giving away on their site.
Has anyone else ever run into this problem???? I don't want to say this "artists" name, because I don't want to give them any publicity as I'm really ticked off at them now. I was going to buy the CD when it came out, but I now will no longer support them.
