A surprisingly negative response from Klaus. Obviously, Mars Electric will not appeal to everyone but to attack them for their image is just a sad marker of how far up its own ass this whole melodic rock/AOR genre is. Do you really think that bands like Frontline or Danger Danger (good as they are) are going to make their mark on the mainstream market? It ain't going to happen mate. This whole scene is preaching to the converted and the sooner that people start to realise this the better! For our music to survive, it needs to grow and in order to do this we need to attract new audiences. I'm not saying that Mars Electric are going to be the ones to save rock, I'm simply saying they have the potential to appeal to a wider audience. We need young bands like this who offer a fresh approach to both the music and the image and that's the truth! As for them looking gay, well don't you remember the 80's? I almost had a wank over the cover of 'Look What The Cat Dragged In' before I realised they were blokes!

Gav ( definitely straight! )
