RE: Educate me about this Board!

Yeah I've been visiting since back in late 97 when the site was on southcom.com.au. Laurent was posting when I first rocked in. The beauty of this board for me was like Laurent said, everyone had loads of info on the music I loved but couldn't find. The mid nineties was baron for me in Oz as far as hard rock/metal went, grunge was massive and The Back Door boys and Crisscross were all over the charts. I'd thought the music was just not being made anymore until I got here, it opened so many doors to the music I was after that I just can't close them any more. I regularly pick up 5-10 CD's a month, I've got some still in plastic that I haven't gotten around to playing yet, its insane. My collection jumped from like 50 up to 400 in a pretty short space of time, I have no idea how many now.
I'm not a musician by any stretch of the imagination but I leaned to play piano and drums as a young tucker and have recently picked up the accoustic to see if I can string some chords together. Not as easy as it looks but I'm getting there. Oh and I can sing great when I'm blind drunk and the music is too loud to hear me, heh heh.
Cheers and beers
