Hey,
I am a huge fan of Aldo's work. It would be a shame not to mention that Aldo's keyboard work can be heard on Bon Jovi's "Runaway" from their debut. Jon and Aldo became good friends and I'd say Blood On The Bricks is one of the best melodic rock records in my collection. Songs like Bright Lights and Modern World really show off Aldo's amazing guitar work. He has been largely underrated as a musician. Speaking of underrated, his Nova's Dream from 1996 is one of the best instrumental works I've ever heard. He pays tribute to the great guitarists on this album (such as Carlos Santana, David Gilmore, and Jimi Hendrix). It's a phenomenal collection that showcases all of Aldo's talents.
From what I understand now, he is writing and producing for fellow Canadians, like Celine Dion. He has won numerous Grammy's and Juno Awards for his efforts.
Just a trivia fact: Aldo wrote, produced, and played nearly ever instrument on his debut album. This is mainly due to the fact that most people found him difficult to work with. He is also noted as being the man that began the leopard print pants fad in the early 80's.
Hope he returns to the scene soon,
Robert
