I wouldn´t disagree with Don´s overview as to whaere AN sits in the melodic rock sphere, but it´s also worth noting that he had quite a big influence on Bon Jovi´s early career and songwriting and later, when Aldo hit a rough patch commercially, Jon Bon Jovi co-wrote some stuff with him on the Blood On The Bricks album. I´d say most of Nova´s stuff rocks out a little more than eg. Survivor or most Journey.
"Twitch" was IMO pretty awful. Very tame. "Subject" however is excellent from start to finish. Both the first album and Blood On The Bricks have something to offer, the production is better on BOTB but I don´t know that there is a standout song in the vein of Fantasy or Heart To Heart from the first album.
