Chicago Behind the Music

Someone was going to start this thread, so it might as well be me, I guess.
While I didn't hear anything about Chicago that I didn't already know, it was good to hear Robert Lamm acknowledge in public a fact that I figured out over 20 years ago...
"When Terry Kath was no longer with us, we were no longer Chicago".
Despite the hits they had with Peter Cetera and his clone Jason Scheff, after that, the heart and soul of the band died in 1977.
When Jimi Hendrix thinks you play guitar better than him, that's a hell of a compliment... Nobody's ever going to say that about the studio hacks that have played guitar on Chicago albums the last 20 years.
Now if you'll all excuse me, I think I'm going to throw my scratchy old copy of Chicago V on the turntable......
