This story, just like all the others that Mr. DeYoung has been spouting over the past year and a half, is full of holes. Here he states that the five "classic" lineup members signed an agreement in 1990. He's been telling anyone who would listen for over a year that "Tommy sold back his rights to the name Styx." Which is correct?? Or is the truth something else entirely?? We don't know, and speculation is useless.

From the newspaper article:

"DeYoung went to court Tuesday in hopes of preventing the band from 'damaging this beautiful thing that we created.'"

(Six paragraphs down)

"DeYoung is seeking unspecified monetary damages, INCLUDING A SHARE OF THE PROFITS FROM THE TOUR and recovery of his costs and attorney's fees." (Note: The capitalization is mine.)

Interesting that this should happen at a time when it was recently announced that the Styx/REO tour had brought in 4 1/2 million dollars.

This is just about the last straw for me. Anyone want to buy a "Desert Moon" CD?
