The album is more AORish than what we're used to hear from Cozy. The bass player is the great Neil Murray who, as usual, did a fantastic job on all songs. The guitar player is Mike Casswell who used to be Brian May rhythm guitarist back in 1992. Mike has been replaced by Jamie Moses as Brian wanted a guitarist who could also sing.
Regards. Laurent

Thanks to a recommendation from this board, I bought John West´s 2nd solo album "Permanent Mark" a while back and just love it. I would recommend this to anyone who likes melodic, rather epic metal and have to say it´s one of the most consistently good albums I´ve bought in a long time. Admittedly I don´t like "Mind Journey" as much - his first solo album - but it sure has its moments and so I´m on the lookout for more JW stuff.
I understand he sung on Cozy Powell´s last album "Especially For You". Can anyone give me some details of it? Was it Japan-only? Mainly instrumental? Who plays guitar? Is it any good?
The other thing i´d like some info on is Artension. I listened to "Machine" briefly and frankly the songs and West´s voice sounded great. What grated were the too-frequent and frankly irritating keyboard solos on every song. Is every Artension album like this?
