Hi folks,

it's soundbyte time again at www.rocktracks.de :

The Sign - Signs Of Life

Great album by this super project featuring the best of Touch, Drive She Said and Strangeways, Mark Mangold (guitar), Terry Brock (lead vocals), Randy Jackson (lead vocals) and Billy Greer (bass) and Bobby Rondinelli (drums). Starts off like Kansas, but turn into a melodic rock masterpiece

***************************

David Glen Eisley - Stranger From The Past

The lead vocalist of Giuffria with his debut on Frontiers. Very good stuff on the first few tracks turn to fillers in the end

***************************

Savannah - Forever's Come & Gone

Good follow up to their famous debut. Needs more than one spin. Rawer and not that polished like their first album

***************************

Alyson Avenue - Presence Of mind

AOR from Sweden in finest tradition. Great lead vocals by Anette Blycket in the vein of Robin Beck, Tone Norum and Dante Fox

***************************

Freddy Curci - Then & Now

Great best of from his solo albums and Alias stuff. Even some unreleased songs

***************************

Hammerhead - Heart Made Of Steel

Forgotten jewel from 1985 featuring David Rosenthal (Red Dawn, Network) and Ian Parry (Vengeance, Elegy). Has some NWOBHM tracks, but also some very melodic ones

***************************

Heartland - As It Comes

The best Heartland album since their famous debut. Less polished and more hard edged and raw sound gives the album freshness and power. Chris Ousey was always a great vocalist, but now he's supported by a great sound at last

***************************

Pretty Maids - Carpe Diem

Pretty Maids' newest 'Carpe Diem' is exactly what a Pretty Maids fan was waiting for. Even if the songs sound like put together without any passion, after each spin they grow together to one big unit more and more. Unfortunately this is another good example for the trophy of 'Wrong Opener' as 'Until It Dies' doesn't represent the rest of the album in any aspect. Track No.2 would have fit way better on this position. The first highlight on this album is the third song 'Wouldn't Miss You', and the earcandy 'Tortured Spirit' can compete with classics like 'Savage Heart' or 'Hell On High Hells' at any time. 'Time Waits For No One' and 'Invisible Chains' sum up the bunch of killers. An album not only Pretty Maids fans should check out

***************************

Pink Cream 69 - Mixery

Good EP of live and unreleased stuff. Check out the new version of 'One Step Into Paradise'

***************************

Check it out ! Coming soon : Axel Rudi Pell, Gatling Gun, Millenium, Newman, Shameless, Alfonzetti, Axe, Mitch Malloy, Shooting Star and more.

Take care and see you the the GODS !
