Saying you're not going to buy the CD does seem a little silly, and rational heads should be kept.

Journey fans should be focusing on positively promoting the music, and negatively yet intelligently questioning the poor communication in terms of mentioning release dates or release proximities and then not being able to keep them. Hopefully, mum will be the word next time, and a new album will sneak up on us (if possible).

I think part of the frustration has become worry that the release will not do well now - and fans of a band want an album to do well (obviously). There may not be any logical reason to think it will do significantly worse because it has been delayed, but concern certainly could be playing a part of the frustration.
