A word on the Crue rip off...../Bon Jovi

Not only is the Special Edition CD released on the heels of the regular one, a word on the Salt Lake City show included. I saw a good chunk of it on Pay Per View (well, more like Free View on my ilegal dish) and kinda got tired. Of course, you can't see fat & out of shape Vince on the recording. The thing is, I don't know what's wrong with his voice, but he skips over a lot of words. Particularly the small ones, he just eats up the a's, the and's, the the's. My guess is he gets winded at would collapse if he sang through them all. Or maybe it has something to do with his range, I really don't have a clue.
For instance, when Kickstart My Heart begins, instead of "When I get high I get high on speed", he'll go, "When I...high....high...speed". And he goes on in that fashion.
May seem like nothing but after a while it gets annoying. They play well, but that pissed me off a bit. Less lyrics for your buck! You have been warned.....
Also, a word on the Bon Jovi Storytellers, did anyone see that? Sure, I enjoyed it (despite the fact I believed it would be an hour and a half), but Jon's voice is different. Did anyone notice? It's sort of more....nasal, whiny. Sure, it's still Jon but he doesn't have the roughness and masculinity it did before. Maybe I just didn't notice it before and it's old news. But I guess that's evident on the albums too, if you hear New jersey and Crush. Now for the record, I like Crush, this isn't about the quality of the music. Maybe it has to do with the voice problems he had....perhaps he had to alter his singing style to not blow his pipes.
His newfound nasal whininess was particularly noticeable on You Give Love A Bad Name. Annoyed me, I was talking to the telly, "Stop it Jon, sing well dammit!".
Cheers,
Jack.
