I thank sfk kurt for daring to ask about new country artists. I for one CAN'T STAND the old country and still have a hard time with a lot of the new stuff, but I do like Shania Twain and have heard some other country songs I like, such as "Amazed" by Lonestar, for which he should be sending royalty checks to Bryan Adams, by the way! So perhaps I will try some of the artists mentioned, such as Blackhawk, Sons of the Desert, Restless Heart, and Tim McGraw.

To continue the topic, I have also enjoyed the snippets of jazz I have heard lately and also like classical. I especially like the mellow, smooth jazz. Does anyone have any great recommendations in these genres of music?
