In 100% agreement regarding TSAR-I can hear elements of Sweet,Queen, Cheap Trick filtered through forward looking approach. To be honest, they even leave Mars Electric behind!!
OK they don't look like Firehouse circa 1990, and the singer doesn't contort himself into spasms to hit high 'c' at every available opportunity, but does that really matter when the songs are so well-written, and executed?! Don't think so!
