Well, I don't know if it's news or rumour......I'm just trying to stir up the pot (ok, the shit). Hard Radio reports:

From the "we'll believe it when we see it department", SAMMY HAGAR has reportedly revealed that David Lee Roth just got booted from VAN HALEN. Hagar told an online source that he has inside information that Roth is already out of the band, and is in the hospital having back surgery...

I'm so happy. You know why? Because now I can say, with my best fatherly voice: "I told you so". It was never going to work with Dave Lee, he's an egomaniac with a prticularly distorted view of reality, and Eddie, well he's just lost his mind. It was bound to end badly. Now, I know the people who were waiting for them to rise from the ashes and capture their former glory once more will shake their fists at me while angry drool slips down their chin and say, "You just wait and see Jackass!".

But see, I'm enjoying this. Even six months ago, I was sorry a once-legendary band was foundering and still hoped VH would storm back with a larger than life album, that Eddie would recover his missing marbles, and they'd embark on a stupendous world tour. But they've gotten so burned by their own garbage, not having a clue what they're doing, and by snubbing their fans with so much prolonged hush-hush nonsense that never goes anywhere, that I'm enjoying the VH debacle. Let them go down in flames....I want to hear about how Dave O.D.s, about how Eddie got checked into an insane asylum by his despairing wife, about how Alex's kid gets Fs in school, about how Mike Anthony can't keep away from the Big Macs.

Nah, you know what? I'd rather just have them stop contaminating the rumor mill.
