I will agree with you on Abba...one of the best pop bands of all time. The Nation cover of "Waterloo" is amazing!!!

Which song did Yngwie cover? I would be really interested in hearing it!

I think Abba influenced a horde of bands...whether or not those bands will admit it is another story....but I think they were certainly one of the best 70s bands

I just burned myself a CD-R with Abba covers featuring Yngwie, Nation, At Vance, Black Sweden and others. This proves once again that a good song is a good song - no matter whether it is Pop, Rock, Funk or Soul. Given the heavy treatment, this songs sound amazing. I don't think there has ever been another band who wrote catchier melodies and came up with bigger hooks than those guys.
