All I'm asking is that
you at least concede the point that it's not the Journey we could have had if they'd waited for Perry to recover.
Just as a question......if you listen to Kevin Shirley who is producing the new cd, Perry walked. aka, he didn't want to be in Journey anymore. So there was no "waiting for Perry to recover"---it was either move on or no more Journey for well....who knows--maybe 5 yrs? maybe 10yrs? maybe never??
Would I prefer a Perry-led Journey? Well, I think that's obvious, though he had some serious vocal issues on the FTLOSM solo tour that were NOT cold related---I have recordings and he was definitely not sick which makes me wonder about whether his voice would hold for a Journey tour, but that's a side subject better left for another debate.
Would I prefer the current version of Journey to no Journey? YES--and I think about 99% of the people at the concerts last summer would agree.
