RE: New "Journey" Album

Hey fellas,
I saw a cover band in New Orleans about 2 years ago. The guitar player sounded just like Neal and the singer almost sounded like Steve Perry at times. The key word is "almost". When Journey came to New Orleans with the new singer a while back, I sure as hell wasn't going to pay $30 to see pretty much the same thing again. For the last time, Journey is NOT Journey without Perry. The way I understood it is that if they would have waited longer for Perry to heal none of this would have happened. I am not sure why they couldn't wait any longer. They must not have as much money left over from the old days as I thought they did. It seems sad to me that they actually went out and got a singer that tries to sound like Perry. They are now just a tribute band to what was once a great band. Greed gets the best of everyone from time to time. I just hope that nobody buys this new album thinking it is the band they once loved. That is just my opinion on this whole situation. I listened to some of the new stuff and it just doesn't do it for me. TBF was better, but it still didn't compare to the old stuff. The whole situation sucks and I wish they had not done this. They should have changed the name of the band. They are trying to cash in by using the name of one of the finest bands of our time. They only pray every night that the stupid public will not notice that Perry is gone. Monkeys and Bananas. Slimdiggity Thompson. I think you all know what I mean.
