RE: New "Journey" Album

The identity of Journey DOES rest on the shoulders of Perry. Hence my reference to Bad English. Bad English is NOT Journey. I don't know who would ever think it was the same. But why should "Journey" without Steve Perry (aka Johnathon Cain and Neal Schon, plus some other singer) be any more Journey than Bad English (Johnathon Cain and Neal Schon, plus some other singer)?
"...but Journey has gone through so many personnel changes and they always were
able to create great music. How is that different this time? Tell me... "
I'm curious to know your list of favorite Journey albums. If your favorite Journey albums don't include Steve Perry, I'll retract my comments. I don't know of a whole lot of Journey fans who can't get enough of "Next." Yessir, when you think of Journey you think of Greg Rolie. You certainly don't think of Steve Perry. (In case you missed it, I'm being sarcastic.) Your comment about Journey going through "so many personnel changes" is hardly a valid argument. Steve Perry has been the voice of Journey and responsible for co-writing the songs since 1978. It blows my mind that you can ask "How is that different this time?" Uh... I think it will be QUITE different. You're just being stubborn and unrealistic, probably because you're in denial, to cling to this silly theory that Steve Perry isn't one of the most important elements of Journey.
Hope you enjoy your new Bad English album. John Waite won't be with them, but they've got Steve Augeri this time around.
I guess you also think that Chris Robinson is the new lead singer for Led Zeppelin. Yep. Led Zeppelin has undergone a few personnel changes. Jimmy Page is still playing guitar. And the songs are still Zeppelin. I guess that band is Led Zeppelin.
