Add Brian Howe (Bad Co.) and Brian Johnson (AC/DC) to that list. I personally think that a new member can take a band into a whole new era. Such was the case with the above and the ones sfk kurt mentioned (not better or worse than the originals, but the beginning of a new sound--and a good one at that!). Hey-better a Journey album with a new singer than no Journey album at all.
