Well I don't think I would want to hear a Mood Swings part two either, but my original point was that Harem Scarem could have changed the sound on each album and still kept it quality melodic rock (like the transition from S/t to Mood Swings)
As for bands releasing "new" material, I think I will quote our dear friend Gary Hughes in a recent interview with Majestic Magazine where he said, "who cares if the music is original if it sucks"
What bothers me about HS is that they completely alienated their "old" (and loyal) fans by releasing an album like Rubber. I can understand that they want to try something new, but IMHO Harry Hess can do A LOT better than Rubber. This is the same man who for a while, could not write a bad song...whilst Rubber is full of bad songs!
This is all of course just my opinion and I totally respect the fact that you like Rubber.
Cheers
Vince

Yeah great....100 more bands flooding a genre with average crap with no originality.
If I already have Mood Swings, why would I want to hear another band clone it and change the lyrics? I'll just listen to the original.
As for Rubber, true...if you dont like it dont listen. But to say its that bad...well, again, a matter of taste. Gimme a band that at least is willing to try something new here and there rather than hash out the same ol' boring album. It's what killed the genre in the first place.
