Today marks the European release of the fifth studio album by British
rockers TEN.

"Babylon", a conceptual piece with stunning cover art from reknowned
fantasy artist Luis Royo, has been met with virtually unanimous acclaim
all through the press in Europe.

In the band's homeland, the biggest magazine, CLASSIC ROCK, gave the
album a glowing 4 out of 5 review saying that the band keeps on getting
better and better. Similar rave reviews were to be found already in

is also responsible for all the other specialist independents) commented
"Orders on the TEN album are phenomenal! Biggest Melodic Rock album of
the year without a doubt" and has already had to reorder twice more
beyond it's initial order due to the pre-release buzz building on this

Around the rest of Europe the story is the same, with Germany in
particular responding incredibly to the new album. METAL HAMMER awarded
"Babylon" a full 7 out of 7, ROCK HARD a superb 9, placing it 4th in the
soundcheck and these are across the board metal magazines. POINT MUSIC,
the distributor in Germany, is very excited about the potential of this
disc and has already arranged for Gary Hughes to make his second promo
trip there for the album during the first weekend of September due to
demand for media attention.

The band's profile in Italy continues to grow with each album. PSYCHO
(10/10), METAL SHOCK (5/5) and FLASH (95/100) made "Babylon" their ALBUM
OF THE MONTH and the band is currently arranging it`s first full live
shows over there.

The pattern is repeated across France, Greece, Benelux, Scandinavia and
even on the internet. MELODICROCK.COM scored the album as a 92 out of
100, ON THE ROCKS a 90/100, MAJESTIC a 4.5 out of 5, BARCODE gave the
album the same 4.5 out of 5 and HARD ROXX a superb 9.5 out of 10,
stating that they "Don't quite know how TEN do it, and to be honest
I don't really care, I'm just really glad they do. Brilliant!"

Shows are being planned for November in the UK, Spain and Italy with a
more comprehensive European tour being scheduled for early 2001. Several
Festivals have also been asking about the bands availability next year
so the next 12 months will certainly be the busiest that the band has
ever had on the live front to add to the huge media interest in the band
at the moment.

Get ready for a special news item tomorrow which will finally give
everyone the details that they`ve been waiting for regarding this years
GODS show!!!
