I have met plenty of "stars" in my time,
I have met my heroes "Queen" once, they all were rather quiet and reserved (even Freddie)....I have had the pleasure of meeting Brian May on 3 separate occasions & each time he has proven to be a gentleman...the epitome of the "un rock star" rockstar...he made all the time in the world for his fans.
Another true gentleman was Rob Halford who spent time in a local bar here (night before a Priest show in 83) talking to everybody & signing anything.
I was rather surprised that someone mentioned Cherone as arrogant because I had met him of each of Extreme's visits here and he truly was nice guy. Nuno on the other hand had that "I am a god" air about him.
Alice Cooper...another great guy!!! local legend Gowan another great guy with the fans (if you ask to play a song before a show he would play anything for you !!!...prior to his Styx tenure)
Probably the biggest asshole I met, was a fellow named Adam...he was the singer in Mozart (who I loved). He was in town with the Flys (alterna rock one hit wonders) & being that I never got to see Mozart I ran down to see the show. After the show I figured I would show him all my Mozart stuff & ask for an autograph. Most artists love when someone actually knows who they are/where they came from & are appreciative of any fans they may have ....welll this jerk completely dismissed his past as childish & garbage & barely could force himself to sign one piece. No!!! of course this band who he recorded 3 cds with but had no success were garbage SCHMUCK!!! Bandwagon jumper (here today gone tomorrow).
I find it amazing that a lot of the bigger artists are some of the nicer ones while the younger/newer artists are the ones that act like egostistical rock stars....maybe it takes years for some of them to realise without us there is no them.

PS Motley Crue...thick as bricks, as were Poison (but at least they were funny & nice)
