Dropped thru the letterbox this morning and after 2 plays seems a real return to form after the rather overblown Spellbound. Could've done without the voiceover link sections which frankly are a bit naff. I'm not a great fan of concept albums (as I doubt that anyone will ever top Operation Mindcrime) but the material here stands on it's own merit without the storyline. I just hope now that they can find a live sound engineer without cloth ears for The Gods in November
