Rafa Martin isn't a band, he's a guy!

And to me, he is far and away THE best Spanish-language rocker.....I've heard much good stuff from the likes of La Fase, Coda, Heroes del Silencio, Miguel Mateos, and the like, but this guy is the creme de la creme.

His first album was a huge hook-filled AOR affair, not a bad song in the bunch (gracias gato!). I was just listening to his new CD and it smokes too!! I was surprised it is actually sold here.....Yes, it is mellower and more laid back, but the songwriting is top notch, and the lyrics are even better this time around! I really enjoy this guy's stuff and think he's a grade A songwriter and performer...he really deserves to be huge. Even people who don't speak Spanish like him....and even then, they can't enjoy him to the fullest extent cause the words are great.

A must for any self-respecting AORster.

PS. Since his first CD is very rare and all but impossible to find these days, even in Spain, I have made MP3s of the whole thing. If you folks want it, I can put it all up on my myplay account, no problemo. After all, it's good to pass the word on artists like these, and if the album isn't veen available, it's good promotion for his new one, I guess!
