Why the exclusion of Eddie Van Halen?

Because he hasn't show me the diverse style of play of for example a Steve Lukather who does it all. I'm not saying VH can't play other styles, he just hasn't shown it to the world yet (including his somewhat blusey perf on the Starfleet album with Brian May).
