Hi Dave,
I agree with you, and although I have only used Napster once or twice (and it was very recently), I agree that it is a great way to preview songs
Why on earth should we pay $19 for a crap album??? That's robbery!!
At least with the independent labels, you are ASSURED of a good product.
And yes, although Rubber is one of the worst albums I have ever heard, every harem Scarem cd I have in my posession I have BOUGHT.

Hahah..Easy for you to say Klaus, you and Andrew are probably getting most of your newer released cds free of charge. Its easy for the fat cats to say they are not hungry. I use Napster as a way to preview songs without laying out the cash for a shitty cd which is overhyped. Take for instance that new Rob halford cd, I downloaded 6 cuts off napster and well i thought it really sucked saving my hard earned money for better cds. On the other hand I also got a few Rafa martin mp3s but after hearing them quickly bought an original of this from Georg at AOR Heaven (Free plug). I am tired of spending my money on overhyped crap. If a cd is truly good, people will still buy the originals. I personally don;t care if 16yr olds trade Eminem mp3s and Eminem doesnt see any proceeds. Plus for the most part, there is nobody on Napster trading entire cds in our ....
