Hahah..Easy for you to say Klaus, you and Andrew are probably getting most of your newer released cds free of charge. Its easy for the fat cats to say they are not hungry. I use Napster as a way to preview songs without laying out the cash for a shitty cd which is overhyped. Take for instance that new Rob halford cd, I downloaded 6 cuts off napster and well i thought it really sucked saving my hard earned money for better cds. On the other hand I also got a few Rafa martin mp3s but after hearing them quickly bought an original of this from Georg at AOR Heaven (Free plug). I am tired of spending my money on overhyped crap. If a cd is truly good, people will still buy the originals. I personally don;t care if 16yr olds trade Eminem mp3s and Eminem doesnt see any proceeds. Plus for the most part, there is nobody on Napster trading entire cds in our genre of music. Usually just a track or 2 if any at all. Mostly all popular "Sheep Public" music. I have found some really cool Harem Scarem Demo's via napster which i never could find in a cd shop. I have bought originals of almost every Harem Scarem cd and i think laying out all that kind of money gives me the right to get the demos from Napster, especially after this dismal Rubber sellout crap which set me back $30.
Napster is useful but i think its a ticking bomb and will evetually be shut down by the labels
