Anyone else on this board get the latest Steve Stevens disc, 'Flamenco A Go-Go', on Miles Copeland's Ark21 label? This is an absolutely amazing album - SS rips it up Flamenco-style (duh!) and utilizes everything from dance beats to world music (mostly of middle Eastern origin) to make it sound incredibly fresh and exciting rather than keeping it all traditional. By the way, this isn't just some guitar wankfest for musos only - Steve has written 10 incredible songs ranging from classic Flamenco to vast cinematic soundscapes that would make John Williams proud. The album also features a number of special guests from the world of jazz, pop and rock, including Howard Jones, the legendary Vinnie Colaiuta on drums and former Shark Island/Jerusalem Slim drummer Greg Ellis on percussion, flute and trumpet. I believe samples can be downloaded at http://www.ark21.com/ Well worth your time!
