Yeah, that's called Mariah Carey Syndrome.....a singer has a fantastic voice, so he promptly decides he/she is going to sprinkle it all over the entire album in the form of endless, overlong ooooohhhhs and ahhhhhhs and mmmmmms, and on and so forth. This of course, makes it less about the song and more about the perfomer. But well, the people who are obsessed with these MC Syndrome singers love it when the song is more about their idol showing off their voice unnecessarily.

To me, it's just so much wanking!
