Benno, I think In Flames are excellent. Part of the Gothenburg scene in Sweden which is heavily influenced by the "New Wave of British Heavy Metal" especially Iron Maiden. Another band you might dig is Dark Tranquility from the scene. Their cd "The Gallery" features some of the best dual guitar I have ever heard. The thing is although this music is undeniably heavy melodies and catchy choruses abound. Another band that is good although somewhat darker is Sentenced from Norway. Their cover of Iron Maiden's "The Trooper" is phenomenal. True metal rules! Cheers. KAOS FAN!
