They may not all qualify as 'melodic rock' but they kick my ass from here to Timbuktu:
1. Halford - Resurrection (the album Maiden should have made instead of talking about it. One word: UNBELIEVABLE!!!)
2. Rob Rock - Rage Of Creation (kick ass metal all the way! Chris Impellitteri must be fuming because there's not way he'll ever even get close to this...)
3. John Norum - Slipped Into Tomorrow (Hands down Johnny's best since 'Face The Truth'. Great tunes and shredding guitars. Fuck yeah!)
4. A Perfect Circle - Mer De Noms (Maynard from Tool is a vocal god and he takes it to a new level here. Phenomenal album that should appeal to alternative, melodic rock and progressive rock fans alike!)
5. Alice Cooper - Brutal Planet (forget the Desmond Child-induced shite Alice put out in the late 80's and early '90 - this is an awesome album the combines classic Cooper with a modern edge. Great songs and thoughtful lyrics.)
