It's true that Neal started the band...but how good were the first few albums (those without Perry) ? Not very good...

It was only after Perry arrived that Journey found true success. And, not only did Perry sing, but he co-wrote songs and produced as well.

I think Neal and co. are really going to miss him, although Neal will not admit it. I think he's a great guitar player but I just don't see Journey doing very well without Perry

I respect your opinion about "Steve Perry IS Journey", however it is Neal Schon who is Journey. It is his band, it was before Perry and is after. Perry helped them become more popular (and at times Cheesy - Raised on Radio), but Journey isn't Journey without Neal.....
