Hi! I just got this statement fro the official Thin Lizzy page about the postponed tour. I also posted it on the news section.

THIN LIZZY statement:

With regret, there have been some dramatic changes to the THIN LIZZY World Tour 2000 itinerary schedule. The tour will now begin in Europe on October 13th in Sweden and will run through Dec 17th. The USA tour will run Jan 10th - mid March. This means that the dates in Holland on August 4th and 8th will be rescheduled. The band's appearance at the Wacken Open Air Festival on August 5th unfortunately will not take place. Thin Lizzy will have dates for Germany later in the year and are extremely sorry for the disappointment and any inconvenience this may have caused.

This situation has come about because Thin Lizzy want to give you the best live show you've ever seen. With the new release of "Thin Lizzy - One Night Only" it is important to the band that they deliver the same intensity you hear on the CD in their new tour performance. As some of you may already know, Marco Mendoza & Tommy Aldridge have been on tour with Ted Nugent on the current KISS/ TED NUGENT tour. Thin Lizzy had hoped that Marco and Tommy would be available for the start of the Thin Lizzy tour in August. However, with the KISS/ TED NUGENT tour being extended, and circumstances beyond anyone's control, Thin Lizzy had asked musicians to fill in for Marco & Tommy temporarily. Thin Lizzy has been rehearsing in LA for the last 2 weeks but the Lizzy magic just isn't there without Marco & Tommy. Rather than tour and and support a release with a different lineup, or cancel the tour, Thin Lizzy had to make the difficult decision to delay the start of the tour. If you have already purchased tickets to see the band, please contact the venue or the ticket agency where you purchased them.

We are in the process of rescheduling dates with HADDOX/ Pooch Booking & Touring and will be updating the itinerary as dates are reconfirmed. Please keep checking the official Thin Lizzy website or for updates. A letter will be available in the next couple of days from Scott Gorham and John Sykes explaining to the promoters, venues, and most importantly the fans their assurance that this tour will take place starting Oct 13th in Europe and in the United States in January.

Thank you for your continued support -
