I live in the Chicago area. Impulse is about 40 minutes from me. You'd think I would be excited that a great import music store has opened up near my home. No...I too have had problems--and I go into the actual store! They don't have much stock and usually they take their time getting titles in (I heard they have had problems with their distributors). Also, the store leans more towards the Heavy Metal side than the MHR side. They carry every Iron Maiden or Judas Priest CD ever made, but you might have a hard time getting the latest Ten disc or Journey CD when they come out. I would take the advice of almost everyone else that has responded to your post: use NEH Records, Hot Tracks, Dream Disc, etc. I have used them all and they are all better than Impulse.
