Down with John Q!

Totally agree with everything John Q had to say. For the record though I have to say that, although the AOR/MHR content is fairly low, CLASSIC ROCK is definately the brightest hope this sort of music has had for a long time. The fact that it does not just aim to preach to the already converted like HARD ROXX, THE ROCK etc. did, but instead targets a mainstream readership and then says 'well if you like this, there's a whole scene going on that you probably don't know about', is the key to its success.

Of course I'd love to see more articles on MHR in there but the point is that this magazine is in the perfect position to do just that when/if that one band breaks. For now I wouldn't change it one bit. Having said that maybe Dave Reynolds could vouch for its independence in the reviewing field.

Dave?
