...but you're absolutely right. The future is looking VERY bleak, to say the least. And then you look at something like the House of Lords (as great as their music is/was) press release and start wondering on what planet they live. I still dig many old school AOR and MHR bands and will continue to buy/support them - but at the same time I would encourage younger bands to stop riding the '80's train' in terms of looks, style and sound. Just add a few new twists and turns and things may get moving in the right direction again. In particular bands like Matchbox Twenty, Everclear and Tonic seem not that far away from the traditional AOR sound - and they seem to sell pretty well.
