As for the UK, I can only say the same things again. That is that in order for the majors to sit up and take notice these bands need to have 'visible' sales via stores that contribute to the national charts. ( Remember, airplay does not contribute to them over here). Which means buying your albums from HMV, VIRGIN or OUR PRICE or somesuch outlet. Which, in turn, means taking sales away from the specialist mail order outlets that have kept the scene going through its 'unfashionable' period.

The problem there is that the small labels end up not making as much money out of their releases so, because, at the end of the day it's the money that matters, that's unlikely to happen.

If you love AOR either learn to hear it in other bands that dress it up differently or get used to it like it is coz it ain't gonna change any time soon,
