It's way too hard to predict what will be big in the future...I mean who would have predicted Limp Bizkit , Korn , Deftones, being huge back in 1990 , when most melodic hard rock bands were riding the crest of a wave.Firehouse won an Americn Music Award for Best Newcomer in 1990 ahead of Nirvana and Alice in Chains and lo and behold by 1993 Grunge ruled the airwaves and Firehouse were almost forgotten.........For the record I hope to see any up and coming bands actually playing instruments not sampling sounds on a computer......songwriting as an art is suffering badly , is a matter of fact there are very very few artists out there in the mainstream who can write a decent tune with meaning , melody and musicianship...you only have to look at the amount of cover versions of 70's 80's and now 90's bands that are getting chart action ......not only is MHR underground it also appears the art of songwriting is dying at an alarming rate.....just my thoughts on the matter........cheers....Kieran
