About 8 years ago I interviewed Nikki Sixx for a publication I worked for and when asked what about Europe he simply said ...."What about it???.......it's great we have fans over there but we really couldn't be bothered our asses going over there...it's too small a market and all those different currencies....who the fu*k needs it" VERBATIM . In a similar interview with Bill Leverty of Firehouse last year Bill said although they would dearly love to tour Europe their previous management spent 6 years telling them Europe wasn't important enough and they needed to concentrate on the USA and Japan....Bill says now they regret it badly, they toured with Quo back in 91? and should have capitalised on the inital success of the tour , but management got in the way .I can't help but believe though bands must have some say in whether they tour overseas or not, I mean I can'timagine somebody telling JBJ he ain't touring Europe with the new record....can you?As for Journey , they will be lucky if they sell 10,000 albums in the UK .....very simply Sony UK don't give a toss about AOR/MHR and will gladly take the profit on anything sold , especially as they don't have to put any effort into promoting it in the first place.I would dearly loved to be proved wrong but somehow I don't think so.Just my view......Kieran
