Well, I think Journey, like so many other US bands (Van Halen, Motley Crüe, Poison, etc.), made a huge mistake by not touring Europe on a more regular basis. Look at Bon Jovi: These guys toured their asses off - even at the beginning of their career. That paid off big time as they're selling about 3/4 of their albums in Europe and Asia - not to mention that they still fill the biggest arenas and stadiums around here. What many bands and labels (!) didn't realize is that European audiences have proven to be a lot more loyal to "their" bands - if they bother(ed) to show up. There are even bands from the 60's and 70's like Wishbone Ash who still make a living by touring Europe once a year. Not that they sell too many albums anymore, but audiences still want to see them.
