don't bring up aerosmith and tell me that they don't follow trends...the aerosmith of 25 years ago that wrote and recorded dream on and the aerosmith of the 90s that recorded anything spit out by desmond child and diane warren are not the same band...the aerosmith of the 70s were the measuring stick of the bands on the 70s along with led zepplin and kiss...but along with time comes the loss of something...the 80s for aerosmith saw them sell no records until permenant vacation...they didn't start selling platinum records again until they changed with the times and went with songs that appealed to young kids...the "soundtrack crowd"...although not melodicrock look at metallica...3 near perfect albums in the early 80s w/ Master/Ride/Kill...and a close record with and justice...and then they just started turning out manufactured rock...they settled into their place in history...which is too bad...because they were the measuring stick...and now they are the joke...i wasn't trying to attack you personally as much as the constant posts about how everyone wishes it was 1989 again...but it's not...if it was still 1989 Milli Vanilli would still be on the radio and i'd still be in high school...that's just the way it goes...
