OK, OK, so unfair comparison but just as a matter of interest the UK music retail chain I work for sold, in over 300+ shops last week, TWO copies of the Crue album, 'New Tattoo'. Due mainly to the appalling (in my opinion) decision not to scale it to ANY store in the chain.

To put this into context we sold 29,238 Corrs albums in the same week!
Which just goes to show you that thousands more people would like to shag the Corrs than the Crue!!!!

Also of interest is the fact that Virgin were not promoting the Crue album in Virgin stores despite it being released on the Virgin label. So why put it out if you're not going to promote it?

If anyone's got any figures from anywhere else I'd be interested to see them. You needn't state the name of the store. But it looks like Kerrang have nailed the coffin lid shut. I hope they can be proved wrong.
